Special Properties: Chakra Condution/Chakra Poison
The special properties of the Kami-maijou are two fold. The chakra conduction is innate from its core material of Tairim as without it the Chakra Poison wouldn't be possible. The Chakra Poison is caused by the amalgam of chakra being focused to the blade by the user, that mix of chakra interacting with the targets' chakra.

The focused chakra manifests as a purple glow along the blade with burning vapors of life destroying chakra rising from it. This causes physical harm as the targets' chakra paths are violently disrupted and simultaneously hindered to the point of disrupting Jutsu and making natural healing impossible. Though anyone with sufficient chakra control (Rank B) can manage to cope with the disruption enough to be unhindered with jutsu. It should be noted that use of the chakra aspects of this weapon, specifically the amalgam require it to be reforged and the forger's chakra be added to the mix or the users own attempts will make them ill. Due to the nature of the weapon it has its own chakra signature.

Description:  
The double edged curved blade with water blue hilt wrap is 36.5 inches in length with a width of 1.5 inches. It was first forged eight generations ago by Kaguya, Mizuya from ore found within a frozen mountain thought to be an ice burg. He wished to create a weapon to defeat his clan's enemies in the chaotic era of constant shinobi strife, before the time of villages. From this refined ore came a clear metal he called Tairim. The blade produced was a remarkably strong blade with a thin glass like edge. While Mizuya was able to survive for a long time with this blade of Tairim at his side, it didn't turn out to be the world killer he desired, but it did turn into a deadly companion. Before he retired from war the blade passed down to his youngest son Kaguya, Gin.

Gin trained with the sword not finding anything remarkable about it aside from its edge and durability. It had none of the fabled powers his father believed. This changed during a battle with a ninja of incredible power that controlled an entire region. The shinobi claimed to be a god rank ninja, using combinations of jutsu and technology to preform extreme effects like melting 'Fire-proof material'. This ninja decided to assault Gin's home village. During the assault Gin slashed the sword, defending his village and found the blade a flame. This flame was able to destroy the technology of the 'god ninja'. In the aftermath of the battle it was discovered that the sword had suffered minor damaged and couldn't be used in battle much longer. As a result he set off to search for replacement material in the war torn world.

Revisiting the mountain he never found Tairim to repair and reforge the clear blade. Gin as a result of the fruitless search, set off on a journey to find the finest ore. Searching in what would become the land of fire he fought through squads of ninja and eventually discovered black volcanic ore. Using this ore he reforged the weapon with katon, changing the clear blade to a darker smoke color. During the reforging he altered the base to have the great symbol of the Kaguya clan. At the end of Gin's life the blade was passed down to his child, a daughter named Kikyou.

Over time it was passed down and reforged with additional chakra and various ore. After it passed down two further generations from Kikyou to Odeki then to Reyona the blade had amassed a noticeable amount of power. Now with it in the newest generation's grasp the weapon wasn't used for defense, but to force the then scattered Kaguya clan into a  larger cohesive organization. Reyona thought herself the embodiment of a great spirit thanks to the weapons' power. But the Kaguya clan couldn't be forced by will and edict for long. In the end Reyona was killed by her eldest child, Midori.

Midori reforged the blade, named Kami by her oppressive mother, in a belief that she could overrun Reyona's energy with her own. As time passed the Kaguya started drifting apart, back into significantly smaller groups without a force to hold them. However Midori saw an end to the constant war on the horizon, things had seemed to be settling down. With that in mind the holder of the Kami blade reorganized the clan and using perverted edicts of Reyona in conjunction with the natural and accepted violence of the Kaguya, created rites and bonds within her fellow clansmen. This caused a more stable and cultured clan to emerge, one better suited to fight against united enemies. Midori stepped down from her position of power giving it to a dear friend before her health started to degrade. By the time of her death the chaos of inter clan war had begun to significantly settle. Shortly before she passed she transferred the blade to Umehana, her middle daughter.

Umehara renamed the blade Kami-maijou after receiving it, believing the blade did in fact bring a great spirit to its wielder, whether it be for good or ill. A few years after receiving the rechristened Kami-maijou dominant clans started to take their spots in the world. With the power of the demon beasts in mind Kaguya, Umehara reforged the Kami-maijou with hope of making more effective to combat these creatures. When she reforged the blade she added the new symbol for the Land of Water around the clan symbol. Additionally the woman discovered two things. One was that it was easier and much less dangerous to use the chakra of the blade after her chakra was instilled. The second was that there was now a potent amalgam she could stimulate to change the blade from somewhat normal looking metal to a glowing purple with dangerous vapor. A few short years after giving birth to her daughter Saiya, Umehara she died in the last battle against the seven tailed beetle only managing to injure it while the Hokage sealed it. Her husband retrieved the Kami-maijou from the battleground and gave it to Saiyo when she came of age.

Kaguya, Saiya became the keeper of the family sword and in a desire to learn about her mother, pursued armory to the exclusion of her family's traditional focus of shinobi training. Around the time of the shinobi war her activity was curtailed by her pregnancy caused by Toume. This prompted her to, like her family before her, reforge her family sword in hopes that it would bestow her chosen child with a bright future. Following the shinobi war a left over leaf force shattered her family and village. Using the Kami-maijou she slew as many leaf shinobi as she could see until she believed that they all had been dealt with. After several years she recovered most of her family, her husband Toume still lost. The family blade was passed to her middle son, Naito following the Kaguya clan Rite of Ascension. With Naito the ninth generation to wield the blade, she hoped that he would prosper.

After discussion with Outlaw this is fine by us but some rules need to be kept in mind.

Technically a character can't use a weapon ranked higher than their Shinobi Rank. However, I believe you intend to treat this a normal sword until you rank up and can then utilize the powers.

So here is what I want you to do. Place the current rank (C) in the template and full progressive rank at A (A-rank is fine. It doesn't need to be S)

Just keep in mind that you can't use the chakra conductive ability until you reach rank B (chuunin) at which point the weapon will become a B-rank and then can't use the chakra poison until you reach Rank A (jounin). So for now its just a dual-edged, super sturdy sword.


Other than that a few grammatical errors in the history but the content is fine by me. So just fix those up and let me know what you think about the above set rules and once outlaw gives his two cents we will go from there.

The above set of rules is fine. It's the type of thing I had in mind as I expected progress to power and not it being dropped in my hands.
